KARLA PATTAVINA'S DANCE ACADEMY - VOTED HAVERHILL'S BEST STUDIO FOR OVER A DECADE
The KPDA competitive program is a fun and exciting alternative to our recreational program. The competitive teams are comprised of students that train 3 - 5 days a week in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and conditioning/tumbling. Students that compete in jazz and lyrical are required to attend ballet and technique classes. The age/level of the dancer impacts the weekly amount of hours that are required. Currently, our competitive team dancers take 4 - 9 hours of class per week. Attendance is a crucial part of our competition team, and the expectation is that all team members are routinely in class. Without full participation and dedication to class time we cannot run a successful competition program.
Our dancers compete in 3 - 5 competitions in a season, as well as travel to conventions where they spend a weekend learning from some of the most prestigious choreographers and teachers in the industry. Team members are also required to attend our summer dance program.
The KPDA Competition Team is invite only, and requires a placement audition for new students to the studio.
